Black Cab Tours Around London

I had great fun this week. It was my little cousins bday and we took her on a tour around London in a black taxi. She absolutely loved it bless her! There was a choice of different tours available, some a little to gruesome for my 10 year old cousin such as the Jack the Ripper tour (maybe for a boy would be ok), but we decided to go for the Harry Potter tour. This showed lots of locations around London, but mainly focused on the filming locations. It is crazy to see the locations in real life... you really would have never guessed! What an experience! The driver was very knowledgable and friendly, and was great with putting thing in a way the kids would understand.

Thanks for a great day out Top Class Black Cab Tours London!

Argh!!! I broke my laptop

About 3 weeks ago I tripped over my power cable to my laptop and it hasn't quite been the same since.

I've had to keep a book rested underneath the point where the power cable goes in just to keep it charging and since the battery doesn't really hold a charge anymore it keeps cutting out.

Last week when I was at my personal training session my personal trainer Steve suggested I use a company in Chingford called CCS. They offer a no fix no fee service and don't charge for diagnosis unlike most places.

I got on the train at Liverpool street and in 20 minutes I was in Chingford. An engineer was available to look at my laptop straight away. I was amazed at the speed and proficiency with which he took it apart. He showed me the broken part and got a replacement DC jack from stock.

The whole process took only half an hour and I was only charged £50. PC world had quoted me over £200!

Now my laptop works a treat!

Thankyou Chingford Computer Services

My New Personal Trainer

After seeing some great results at the boot camp I've decided to push the boat out and get a personal trainer. I was so impressed with the boot camps that I have signed up for 1 personal training session per week for the next 10 weeks and got a great discount for block booking.

At my first session with my personal trainer we discussed my aims (weight loss & toning up). We drafted a plan that covers not only my gym sessions but also some helpful diet tips.

I go to the gym maybe three times a week - but only meet with my personal trainer every thursday. The rest of the time I just stick to the plan and work out by myself.

My personal trainer meets me at my gym (fitness first in Liverpool Street) and the session lasts for an hour.

I love it and can feel the benefits already after only two weeks.

I thoroughly encourage anyone who is looking to get healthy to hire a personal trainer and the guys at Walker Bros Fitness could not be more helpful, they really know their stuff.

If you would like to know more about their personal training services here is a link to their website.

The boys sure like the kettle balls, we've had a few sessions with them so far;  I really like the TRX sessions too. I'm starting to see the results - I've lost 4pounds after the first week and have toned up :0)

Calibration Oils

Found a really good site today that I just had to post about!! I was looking for calibration oils for the new viscometers we got for school! They offer great prices and discounts so get in contact!! I spoke to a really friendly lady who talked me though all I needed for the new viscometers. Wished I had found the site before as we could have got them a lot cheaper than what we paid directly from brookfield! Anyway see for yourself http://www.qualitycontrollaboratories.co.uk/Home

My Experience at a Boot Camp on Clapham Common

For months now I have been intending to loose some additional pounds for my holiday. Being a teacher I don't earn a great deal of money and paying for a personal trainer was out of my reach.

One of my friends suggested that I try out a boot camp. I'd never even heard of a boot camp. Basically the principle is that almost every day for two weeks you meet up and train with a group of individuals on the common. The workouts are broken down into different body areas and muscle groups.

I really enjoyed my first day and made some great new friends. It cost less than two sessions with a personal trainer - but I still feel it had the personal touch.

I would thoroughly reccomend boot camps to people of all circumstances as a great way to loose weight, tone up and make new friends.

Oh and the instructors are kind  of hot too :)
